Samsung I9000 Galaxy S

People waiting for the Froyo have a bad news to hear. They will have to wait a bit longer when this Froyo update hits the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S. The update has been delayed in India, Spain and some other regions too. Froyo update is expected to be available by the month of October.

Although there is no such official announcement but this bad news was trickled through Facebook (Spanish Page) and the Twitter (Samsung India A/c). It’s also not clear whether Android 2.2 Froyo update for the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S would be delayed in other regions as well, but with the current trends, the European countries also seem to be affected.

Moreover the release date of the Froyo update has been extended to the late October. The availability of the update will be made through Samsung Kies.

However for the much eager enthusiast who can’t wait for any longer could look out for some other ways available through which they can update the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S to Android v2.2 Froyo. The first test firmware of the Samsung I9000 having the Froyo on board (known as I9000XXJP1) has already been leaked which is available for download.

Although this has been leaked the users must understand before downloading that this is a test firmware, which means that all the features would not work properly. For example in this firmware the Flsh support for the browser has not been included.)
