HTC Aria

HTC Aria Design

HTC Aria comes with an amazing combination of looks and design which can be very attractive for smartphone buyers. The phone measures 4.1×2.3×0.46 inches and is light on your pocket as it weighs 115 grams. The phone has sensitive Home, Back, Menu and Search keys which allow you seamless access to Android applications.

While designing the phone, the manufacturers have tried to stress on simplicity as much as possible. This is evident when you find less number of physical buttons in the HTC Aria. On the left of the phone you will find just a single button for controlling volume. The power button is on the top of the phone and a stereo handset jack measuring 3.5mm is located to the left of the power button. The microphone and the USB connector slots are at the bottom of the phone.

HTC Aria Specifications

High end technical specifications are the hallmark of HTC Aria. The phone has 512 MB ROM and 384 MB RAM. What is really cool is the fact that the internal memory can be expanded to a staggering 32 GB. That is really something, isn’t it?

The phone also has a FM radio. The size of the screen is 3.2 inches with 262K HVGA colors and 480×320 pixel resolution. The smart phone also gives you the pleasure of watching Mobi TV.

HTC Aria Camera

HTC Aria comes with a 5 mega-pixel camera. However there is no camera flash in the phone. The phone also has face detection capability and can also capture videos. However you can be slightly disappointed with the zoom quality of the phone.

Aria does not have a camera button. You have to take photos by using the optical joystick which is quite helpful as it reduces camera shakes, which helps in obtaining sharp resolution of images.

HTC Aria Connectivity

Connectivity is another area where HTC Aria will find takers. The phone supports 3G UTMS (850/1900 MHz), EDGE, GSM and GPRS. It is a 3G device and has an integrated Wi-Fi system. It also has WebKit HTML browser of Android. Multiple Windows and Adobe Flash Light is well supported by the phone. The Aria also comes with a YouTube player.

You can enjoy nearly 50,000 applications on the HTC Aria. There are applications such as Google Talk, Gmail, Google Maps Navigations. However, you cannot download any non-market applications in your HTC Aria phone. HTC Friend Stream is another application of Aria via which one can get regular updates from social networking sites such as Twitter, Face book among others arranged in a single window.

HTC Aria Multimedia

With the 3.2 inches display screen, you can enjoy a relatively sound video playback experience with Aria. Though the stereo performance of the phone is relatively alright the volume and quality of the speakers are not up to the mark as there are distortions in volume. The quality is amplified through headphones.

The phone has music player which supports MP3, M4A, WAV, AMR, AEB, WMA,OGG, AAC, OGA, MID, MIDI, XMF, RTTTL, SMF,SPMID,IMY, RTX, OTA, 3GP, 3GPP, 3G2 and 3GPP2 music formats.

HTC Aria Battery Performance

The battery performance of HTC Aria is relatively good if not spectacular. The 1200mAH lithium ion battery gives 6 hours of continuous talk time and has 15 ½ days of standby time.

Aria Price

HTC Aria comes within a price range hovering between $350 and 370
Aria Verdict

After checking out the HTC Aria one feels it to be a more or less mixed-bag-features phone. While some of the features turn the phone candid in the eye of the users, the others put a question mark on its usage.

If the volume quality is low, then over 50,000 applications make up for this deficiency. The life of the battery can be worked upon to make it more efficient but the inability to download third party applications is probably something that may put off users and make them look out for other alternatives.
